Thank you for your interest in the Advanced Open Water Diver course. This course has been designed to directly follow the basic Open Water certification level. It is convenient, enjoyable and of practical value to students. The Advanced Open Water program provides the novice diver with a structured well-supervised means to gain additional experience. It involves students in various underwater tasks that broaden their awareness of the environment and their capabilities as divers. Through the five dives, you can get a taste of what more specialized diving activities have to offer. Upon completion of the Advanced Open Water course, you will be able to pursue your Rescue Diver certification. Also, the dives completed during your advanced course can count as the first of four required dives in the separate specialty certification areas. The Advanced Open Water course is sure to improve your diving skills and you will have a great weekend of fun and enjoyment at the same time!
The Advanced Open Water course consists
of five exciting dives:
*Navigation
*Night dive
*Deep dive
*Search & Recovery
*Peak Performance Buoyancy
The three required dives
consist of navigation, night and deep.
These dives will give you the necessary skills and experience to enable
you to dive to 100 ft., to night dive, and to be more proficient at navigation.
The other two dives are elective dives in other specialty areas.
We have selected a dive in Peak Performance Buoyancy and a Search &
Recovery dive. We feel that these
are the most practical skills due to the fact that buoyancy skills are used on
every dive and searching for lost objects is a very popular diving activity.
