Thank you for your interest in the Open Water Diver Course. Wazee Sports Center offers the latest training methods and most up-to-date, state-of-the-art equipment. The beginning course is fun, stimulating and easily completed. You will become a certified Open Water Diver while learning the most successful and widely used diver training program in the world. Our classes are available year round so you can start right away and see how easy learning to dive really is. For your convenience, our Open Water Course is scheduled in two parts to help you plan your program at a time that best suits your needs.
Part 1 of your new adventure begins in our modern training facility. Our professional SCUBA instructors teach the enjoyable classroom and pool sessions. During PART 1 we will show you fundamental skills and information that you will use during your dives. Your instructor’s presentations elaborate on the information you have previously read about at home in your Open Water Manual and viewed in the Open Water Video. In the pool, you will learn the skills needed to dive safely and effortlessly in the open water. These pool sessions are under the direct supervision of our trained instructors. Our teaching staff is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality diver training with individualized attention. Since everyone has their own pace and style of learning, we limit class sizes and offer extra classroom and pool sessions for those that need it. With our flexible schedule you may complete the FULL Open Water “Part 1” in as little as 2 full days or 4 evenings.
In Part 2 of the open water training dives, you will earn your Open Water Certification. This two-day session includes an on site orientation and four enjoyable SCUBA dives which are closely supervised by your Instructor. During the dives you will apply the skills you learned during your Part 1. Your Part 2 dives can be completed at Lake Wazee (one of Wisconsin’s prime dive spots) or at a dive vacation site of your choice. There are hundreds of dive centers worldwide! Whichever you choose, you’ll see an abundance of aquatic life in its natural environment and complete your certification while experiencing the thrill of diving.
The cost of your beginning SCUBA class is only $369.00 which includes books. You will need to purchase a mask, fins, and a snorkel. * Plus we offer all our students 20% off EVERTHING in our store* the course fee includes pool fees and a photograph for your certification card and registration fees. Your fee also includes the use of a complete set of training equipment for your course. You will have to pay a dive fee at the lake for the open water dives. To register, stop in or mail us your choice of Part 1 dates and a $100.00 deposit to hold your place in class. It is important that you register a minimum of 10 days prior to the actual start of class to allow study time. There is a minimum of 4 students needed to conduct a class. If these numbers are not met, your Part 1 class may be moved to the next convenient time.
