This course examines the
theories, methods, and procedures of safe planned staged decompression. Students
will be trained in planning and conducting dives not exceeding 150 FSW.
Prerequisites
Divers interested in the TDI Decompression Procedures Diver Course must have TDI Advanced Nitrox certification or equivalent, must be 18 years of age, and have a minimum of 25 logged dives.

Open Water Dives
Open water skills will include properly analyzing gas mixtures, demonstrating pre-dive planning, and executing the planned dives within the limits, planning for contingency situations and problems, safety stops, proper deployment of lift bag and reel, simulated emergency gas sharing, and deployment of backup regulator or bail-out SCUBA system. Maximum training depths will not exceed 150 FSW.
Equipment Requirements
Buoyancy compensating device with power inflator and proper lift for equipment configuration, cylinders properly cleaned and marked as required for EAN use and appropriate to air consumption and dive plan, decompression mix cylinder, appropriate size with proper labeling, regulators properly marked and cleaned as required for EAN use, primary and alternate 2nd stage required on all primary cylinders with submersible pressure gauge, depth gauge and bottom timer and/or dive computer, exposure suit proper for diving environment, reel adequate for maximum planned depth, 25 pound minimum rated lift bag, and slate.
