Surface Ice Rescue $85 Per Person 1 day of training Course Description This non-diving ERD course will train and prepare rescue teams to properly respond and execute operations to retrieve victims who have broken through thin ice conditions. Subjects that are discussed in the classroom include ice characteristics and formation, types of victims both human and animal, team operations, equipment and rescue techniques. During the practical training portion, students will perform a variety of roles and master skills such as proper donning of protective gear, victim extrication and self-rescue to name a few. ERDI-1 $350.00 Person 3 days of training Course Description This program is designed to teach basic black water search and recovery operations for divers working with public safety dive teams. The program content is compliant with all OSHA 1910, NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006 regulations pertaining to diving operations. Diver training will include: basic search patterns, hazard assessment, risk benefit analyses, equipment selection and deployment for emergency response diving. Additionally a general orientation to the following topics will be included: OSHA standards and the extreme limitations of the Rescue exemption policy for PSD, scene control, dealing with bystanders and the media. The dive operations are strongly oriented toward tethered diving operations with some minimal discussion of free swimming patterns and their applications/limitations. A very strong emphasis is placed on rescue operations for team members who experience difficulties during a dive deployment and performing other safety diver activities. Be prepared to swim. Day 1 – classroom with pool skills testing and obstacle course Day 2 – classroom and then to the lake using search patterns Day 3 – classroom and then to the river and learn how to deal with the current
ERD Full Face Mask Ops

Person 1 day of training The ERD Full Face Mask course provides the skills and knowledge for the ERD diver to utilize full face masks for emergency response diving. While basic full-face mask topics and skills are presented, other topics and skills include encapsulation, communications with a full face mask, selecting proper masks for emergency response diving and decontamination procedures.

Drysuit Ops Certification $149. Per Person 2 days of training
The ERD Drysuit OPS course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills that are necessary for drysuit diving ops in emergency response diving. In addition to the fundamental other important topics include Skills of drysuit diving, Encapsulation, Contaminated environments, Decontamination procedures. Can be incorporated into ERDI 1 with advanced notice
Ice Diver Certification $149. Per Person 2 days of training Course Description This specialty course includes one classroom session and a total of three ice dives. In this class you will become familiar with the skills, knowledge, planning organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazard, and excitement of diving under ice. The course fee includes all special equipment, instruction, and certification fees. The prerequisite certification for this course is Advanced Open Water. We will also provide any special equipment you may need. Includes ropes and harnesses; does not include drysuit. Books are an additional fee.
